ALL CYLINDERS ARE BORED ON SPECIAL FIXTURES USING OUR SPS, VAN NORMAN OR KWIKWAY CYLINDER BORING MACHINES. CYLINDERS ARE BORED 0.003″ UNDERSIZE & THEN 2 STAGE HONED USING DELAPENA AND SUNNEN HONING EQUIPMENT TO AN ACCURACY OF 0.0002″. FOLLOWING HONING CYLINDERS ARE THEN HOT WASHED & SWABBED TO CLEAN OFF HONING RESIDUE & RING END GAPS ARE CHECKED. ALL HARLEY DAVIDSON EVOLUTION AND TWINCAM STYLE CYLINDERS ARE CORRECTLY MOUNTED IN TORQUE PLATES PRIOR TO BORING. WE HAVE TORQUE PLATES FOR HARLEY DAVIDSON , S&S, ULTIMA AND REV TECH CYLINDERS TO COVER BORE SIZES FROM 3.000″ TO 4.250″
MATT HAS BEEN REBORING CYLINDERS SINCE 1979 , IN THAT TIME WE HAVE REBORED CYLINDERS FROM MOST MAKES OF MOTORCYCLE ANCIENT AND MODERN, TWO AND FOUR STROKE, OVERHEAD VALVE & SIDEVALVE (INCLUDING BLIND BORES) PLUS A FEW BMC,FORD & WILLYS CAR BLOCKS OVER THE YEARS.
